Château Zen is located in the pretty village of Madières between the departments of Gard and Hérault. Our spacious and uniquely decorated rooms and suites allow you to spend a timeless moment. You can enjoy our furnished exteriors and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Our welcome and the services offered will allow you to feel at home and leave rested, recharged – ZEN.

Our 9 suites and rooms, either with a view of the village and the river, or of the mountain, welcome you to enjoy this magical place. From 35 to 102m², all equipped with a coffee and tea corner with Nespresso and Dammann Frères products, a minibar with cold drinks, savory and sweet snacks and Ruinart champagne and welcome products from the Occitane brand.

Our wellness area offers you, among other things: massages in the “Grotto” room or under the open sky, in the shadow of the Castle walls, yoga classes on the platform with a breathtaking view of the mountain and a sauna and hammam area. The heated swimming pool with a beautiful terrace completes this offer.

During your stay you will have the opportunity to taste the best local products at our Table d’Hôtes. At lunchtime, enjoy lunch on the shaded terrace of the pool house, a stone’s throw from the swimming pool, and in the evening, sit in our restaurant “le Panoramique” with a superb view of the Vis Valley.

The village and the Château de Madières have a rich history dating from the 11th century. Discover how the region has evolved over the centuries, who inhabited the Castle and how the inhabitants of the village lived.

vérifié ☺Lieu exceptionnel et enchanteur ! Vraiment magnifique. Décor enchanteur et magnifiquement aménagé/entretenu. Restaurant délicieux, cadre magique et verdoyant.

☹Le Wi-Fi ne captait pas du tout dans la chambre (chambre "Mandala"). Pas top pour un hôtel de cette envergure. Piscine glacée.

C’est un lieu authentique doté d’une âme et d’une vue à couper le souffle sur de belles falaises cévenoles. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. La piscine, le sauna ainsi que le Hammam sont un régal. Le dîner était chouette, toujours avec une vue imprenable ! Personnel sympathique. Café, thé gratuits et à volonté.

Tout y est pour passer un séjour agréable et reposant. Petit dej copieux aussi bien dans la salle avec cheminée qu'en terrasse avec vue extra sur la vallée ! A qq km du cirque de navacelles qu'est à faire absolument ! Un grand merci pour l'accueil chaleureux au château ainsi que la visite des lieux ! Joli Dépaysement ! Et surtout n'hésitez pas à prendre le dîner au restaurant qui est excellent,  fait des produits du terroir par la Cheffe , bravo !

Since it is perched amidst the mountains, the view from different vantage points is unparalleled. The swimming pool is well maintained and a late afternoon swim during the summer is highly recommended. The food especially at dinner was such a treat. Freshly made dishes using local produce and ingredients was an absolute delight. They also had a fantastic selection of local wine.The staff were friendly and helpful. Despite arriving in the midst of a heat wave in the region we loved our experience at the Chateauzen and the wonderful time we spent there. We  left with a hope to visit again.

Tout le monde mérite de se ressourcer dans un havre de Paix !
Le Château de Madière est parfait dans cette optique.
C'est un lieu unique, chargé d'Histoire, magnifique et apaisant.

Agatha et son équipe ont le souci de préserver le confort et la tranquillité des hôtes.
Ce sont des professionnels généreux et bienveillants.

Concernant le petit-déjeuner. Excellent ! Qualité et quantité au RDV.
Quant à la table d'hôtes !
La Cheffe Florence, femme charismatique et généreuse nous a régalée à la perfection. Sa cuisine est simple, goûteuse et efficace.

Superb castle restored and decorated with great taste, huge room with breathtaking views of the river and the cliffs. Friendly and professional staff. Free bottle of Puech Haut rosé adds to the wow effect! Table d'hôte and breakfast at the top with lots of local products (just the industrial pan cakes to avoid...) very local wine list and for lovers of emblematic vintages but rather rare on the tables... The chef cooks beautiful products with a lot of talent, a downside on the meats served during the 2 dinners which were overcooked and too hard... we make up for it with delicious side dishes and simple and tasty desserts based around fruit. Excellent stay in this carefully renovated castle. A magnificent, peaceful setting to recharge your batteries. Don't hesitate to book your evening meal. The small dining room overlooking the mountains has a lot of charm and the meal prepared by a chef is delicious. Local products are favored. Finally a personalized welcome, we will accompany you to your room. Coffee and tea are also free. If you have time, don't forget to go to the Navacelles cirque, the view is impressive.

4 nights of castle life with my daughter. Thank you to the whole team for the warm welcome, everything was perfect from the princess room :) to the delicious dinners. And the environment is magnificent, the hikes allowed us to completely disconnect! We will come back (to be able to enjoy the pool with warmer temperatures!).

It is a superb place, calm, picturesque and very well maintained and flowery! Very pleasant stay where we were so well received, where we divinely ate both breakfast and dinner! The rooms are magnificent and we sleep there comfortably. Everything is decorated with great taste, combining the modern and the old. A castle of character in a steep landscape. The interior comfort and the care given to guests are appreciable after a beautiful walk in the causses. Special mention for the cuisine offered by a chef who knows how to find the right products from local producers, it's really pleasant to make culinary discoveries. Arrival via a slightly winding road, nice surprise there are sockets for the electric car. Only 2 fast chargers but that's already good. Super friendly welcome, tour of the estate, the room. And then we start to feel a little cold...heating is difficult to start. Dinner on site, excellent surprise cook who takes care of simple but mastered cooking with local products. Very affordable wine list. Breakfasts in the same line, regional products, super good honey from the castle. Of course I forgot! The framework ! I really enjoyed my stay at Chateau de Madieres. It really is a marvellous chateau nestled in a beautiful valley and I arrived there after on of the most amazing and dramatic drives through the Cevennes. It was very quiet and peaceful when I was there, but the dinner was lovingly prepared by the chef and was excellent, as was breakfast the next morning. The chateau and its staff (thank you Agata) are wonderful and, along with the surrounding area, definitely worth your visit.
